Mr Terence Raj

An accomplished and seasoned professional, Mr Terence Raj has over 26 years of experience in the field of human resources. Currently serving as the Senior General Manager, Group People at Star Media Group. Prior to his current role, he was the Manager, Compensation & Benefits for the Group.

Mr Terence Raj has a proven track record in designing and implementing innovative learning and development tools, tailored to meet the diverse needs of a multi-generational workforce. As the Head of Group People, he spearheaded the development of an integrated performance management system ground–up, successfully launching a balanced-scorecard performance system. Under his leadership, the human resource function, managed by him, has successfully won several prestigious awards for excellence in the HR industry, particularly in the field of leadership development, graduate trainee initiatives and the effective utilisation of HR technology.

Mr Terence Raj has extensive experience in dealing with national unions and managing the intricacies of a unionised work environment. He has successfully concluded multiple collective agreements and has positioned unions as business partners within the organisation. Additionally, he currently serves as a panel member of the Malaysian Industrial Court and the Social Security Organisation’s Appellate Board.

Mr Terence Raj holds a Bachelor of Arts from University Malaya. He has also complemented his experience in the field of human resources by completing a 3–week program in Safety & Health at the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, Malaysia.
