Empowering home bakers to scale up their business
THE highly-anticipated Anchor Start Up, an online learning platform for bakers built with Kuali under Star Media Group, is open for registration.
Armed with 11 customised courses aimed at levelling up home bakers’ skills and entrepreneurial knowledge, the series is the first of its kind targeted at assisting small and micro food businesses in Malaysia.
On top of gathering new knowledge to power their businesses, bakers registered with the platform also have a chance to feature their baking business in The Batter Place, an online local directory where they get a chance to sell more by being discoverable on this listing.
“Anchor Food Professionals’ mission is to serve up inspirations to the food and beverage business, and home bakers are a part of this,” said Fonterra Brands Malaysia food service director Jack Tan.
“We were working on various activities to support and empower home bakers for sustainable growth.
“With Start Up, bakers can drive their business performance through harnessing specific skill sets learnt as they carve their own competitive advantages and eventually sell more via The Batter Place listing platform.
“With this initiative as a way for bakers to skill up and scale up, we believe it will create a catalytic effect on the baking community in Malaysia,” said Tan.
Start Up and The Batter Place will be launched at Bake and Make 3.0 on Dec 1, the third entrepreneurship webinar, which gathers industry professionals and baking influencers to share their personal tips and success stories.
