Majoriti teams up with AEON
KUALA LUMPUR: Majoriti, a new news portal, is making strides as it partners with AEON Co (M) Bhd (AEON) in offering exciting content and exclusive offers to readers and consumers.
To mark the start of the new partnership, Majoriti and AEON signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at AEON Mall Taman Maluri yesterday.
As a new Bahasa Malaysia news portal focused on providing reports on current affairs, Majoriti is set to provide engaging narratives that spark conversations while bringing on added value to its consumers together with their strategic partners.
The MOU was signed by AEON managing director and CEO Shafie Shamsuddin, and CEO Alex Yeow on behalf of Majoriti.
Shafie described the partnership between the two brands as evidence of the importance of working together in an open ecosystem to deliver maximum benefits to customers using the platforms of AEON and Majoriti.
“This partnership is evidence that we don’t work in silos as we are now working together as partners in the ecosystem where we can benefit consumers together.
“It is very important in this current situation for consumers to get a lot of information and, most importantly, for the information to be trustworthy,” said Shafie after the signing of the MOU, which was also witnessed by AEON chief merchandising and marketing officer Low Ngai Yuen and Majoriti product lead Chung Eng Lee.
Also present was AEON deputy managing director Tsutomu Motomura.
Chung said that AEON shared the similar intention with Majoriti of bringing added value to its loyal consumers.
“Majoriti is set on reaching the masses to bring them news that matters. More than that, we hope that they will find offerings that cater to their lifestyles through the Majoriti platform.
“AEON is a great partner who puts their consumers at the forefront and it is incredibly meaningful to have them come on board the first leg of our journey.
“Aside from a special subscription rate of only RM10 a year, AEON members will also enjoy exclusive deals that are only available through the Majoriti platform.
“We look forward to working together in exploring more ways to reward our consumers,” she said.
According to Low, not only is AEON offering a subsidised subscription deal for Majoriti to AEON members to access exclusive news at the end of their fingertips, but AEON is also working on many early-bird promotions, over and above its customers’ shopping and grocery needs.
“We hear our customers and we want to be able to fulfil their needs, so extending Majoriti to them is definitely our way of expanding what we can do for our members.
“As a partner, Majoriti excites us with its news direction and content that allows us to leverage on our ecosystem,” she added.
With its tagline Refleksi Tanpa Prejudis (Reflection Without Prejudice), Majoriti’s manifesto revolves around providing unbiased news and views to the public.
Majoriti is embarking on teaming up with a diversity of partners to expand on each other’s offerings.
To activate Majoriti’s subscription, AEON will be sending all AEON members the personalised promo code.
