WITH the aim to encourage love of reading, Eastern Goh Sdn Bhd which is an agent of Lonpac Insurance Bhd has presented a RM10,000 sponsorship of The Star’s ePaper.

Its managing director Goh See Sin said the sponsorship was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to help educate the young.

“I hope that students can improve their English by reading The Star,” he said during the sponsorship presentation at Menara Star in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Also present were Goh’s wife Meihui Tan as well as Star Media Group chief finance officer Sam Au and corporate office special officer Loo Phan Kooi.

Goh, who has four decades of experience in the insurance industry, recently bagged the Asia Pacific International Warrant Cross-Border Business Contribution Outstanding Award 2022.

The award was in recognition of his work in providing insurance to cover printing assets of Malaysian companies.

Goh said he was the first in the country to venture into this line 25 years ago.

“Printing equipment constitutes a substantial cost for companies, so sufficient financial coverage for such assets is crucial,” he added.

Goh believes in working closely with his clients to build trust and he ensures they receive regular updates on their insurance claims.

“More business owners have now reached out to me to discuss forms of coverage for their printing assets,” he added.
