Spoilt for choice, safe shopping experience at Perfect Livin Expo
GEORGE TOWN: A plethora of options awaits visitors at the Perfect Livin Expo, the country’s premiere furniture and home exhibition.
The expo started out with a bang, offering visitors a safe place to look for the best furnishing.
The one-stop design and home solutions event is packed with great bargains.
Star Media Group Bhd general manager Jason Yap and Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) chief executive officer Ashwin Gunasekeran launched the expo along with the Star Education Fair 2021 which will run concurrently.
Yap said for the first time, the home expo and education fair was jointly held to cater to families as a whole.
“This is something the public needs, as there is access to education courses and a one-stop shopping experience for home needs.
“It is January and Chinese New Year is approaching. This is the best time to shop for what they need.
“We have ensured a safe shopping experience as there will be a limited number of people allowed in at any one time.
“We do not have a target number of visitors, we just want to provide what the visitors need in a safe environment,” he said.
He said the expo is adhering to guidelines set by the National Security Council and Health Ministry to ensure a safe environment for visitors
The expo has also received certification of standard operating procedure compliance (SOP) from MACEOS (Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers).
Ashwin said the exhibition industry is relevant even in these times.
“It is a great start to the year with this fair and expo being held concurrently.
“I commend them on their proactiveness in ensuring the Covid-19 SOPs are adhered to for both the events.
“I look forward to collaborating with The Star in the future as there are big prospects.
“With all the guidelines and support system needed to ensure a safe environment there is a lower calculated risk,” he said.
The Perfect Livin Expo has been around since 2008 and there will be at least two expos in a year in Penang.
Great bargains are also in store, where in the Register and Win Contest, visitors who register themselves at the expo stand, have a chance to win a Cuckoo multi-cooker. Those who spend a minimum of RM1,000 will get a guaranteed gift and are entitled to participate in the lucky dip to win extra prizes.
Each day, the first 500 registered visitors to Perfect Livin will get a Perfect Livin 2L Dry Bag for free.
Held at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Bayan Lepas, the fair is open now till Sunday (Jan 10), from 11am to 9pm.
