Suria FM and Era to create Malaysian radio history through latest collaboration
Suria FM and Era are set to create history in the local radio industry with its latest collaboration.
Inspired by the integration of Celcom and Digi (CelcomDigi), Suria FM and Era will be joining hands to create “Era Suria, Di Sini Segalanya Terkini” to offer something unique to its listeners.
Only on Oct 23, both radio stations will be broadcasting the same content simultaneously through its joint morning segment – Morning Morning Suria with 3 Pagi Era – on its respective frequencies.
From 6am to 10am, listeners can tune in to interesting discussions and amusing banters between popular radio announcers Ajak, Shuib and Suraya from Suria FM and, Nabil, Azad and Radin from Era.
The four-hour programme also features a selection of duet-themed songs that will be played simultaneously on both stations.
According to Suria FM General Manager DJ Lin, this collaboration not only helps diversify content but also promotes a spirit of cooperation among competing radio stations to ensure a healthy growth of the radio industry.
“We at Suria FM fully embrace this partnership with Astro Radio, Era. As a private radio station, it’s natural to compete in terms of rankings and number of listeners.
“However, the humanity aspect of this competition must not be overlooked. It’s through mutual support that success can be achieved,” she said at a press conference today (Oct 20).
Regarding the decision to join hands with Suria FM specifically, Era Content Manager Hani Fadzil said it all came down to their shared vision of delivering the highest quality content possible to listeners.
“Suria FM’s vision and message are very relatable,” she said, adding, “while the majority of our demographic consists of young people, Suria FM’s audience is primarily composed of adults.
“Through this collaboration, we hope to diversify our target audience and showcase healthy competition among brands with a common goal.”
Don’t forget to tune in to “Era Suria, Di Sini Segalanya Terkini” on Suria FM and Era on Oct 23. You can also catch the broadcast on the Suria Malaysia and Syok application.
