Work out your frustrations with StarFit
By now, you’d have made a bit of progress if you’ve been steadily following StarFit’s virtual online classes.
For an additional challenge and if you feel like letting go of some aggression, try the Strike workout above.
The full-body interval workout combines traditional kickboxing moves with athletic drills, cardio and strength training that will leave you pumped at the end.
Don’t have a punching bag or gloves? That’s okay, just use your bare hands and punch the air instead.
Jogging and jumping jacks suffice for a rapid warm-up, doubling as a preview of the fast-paced workout to come.
Each of the five rounds comprise a series of exercises with brief one-minute breaks to wipe your brow and sip some water.
Admittedly, it’s not a workout for fitness newbies but there’s no harm in giving the warm-up portion a go.
Or simply, watch the workout to know what Strike is all about.
Readers can join live watch parties simulcasted on the following Star Media Group Facebook pages: The Star, dimsum entertainment, 988, StarProperty, Kuali and Perfect Livin.
These workouts, led by certified fitness professionals, take place every Thursday (6pm-8pm) and Saturday (10am-12pm), and feature a mixed bag of routines for all levels of fitness.
There will be more live watch parties, so if you missed out on the previous ones, join the StarFit crew for the next session this Thursday (May 28, 2020).
The StarFit campaign is a collaboration between Star Media Group and Fitness First, CHi Fitness, Celebrity Fitness and Fire Fitness.
Class types and schedules for the watch parties are updated every Sunday.
If you’ve missed out on the party, don’t worry. You can always watch the sessions online at your leisure.
